Jousting champ to teach in Jupiter — Three-time international jousting champion Cynthia Morrison of Palm Beach recently accepted the position of theatrical sword technique instructor for the Burt Reynolds Institute in Jupiter. Morrison, who will be teaching sword-fighting skills that are essential to land a roll in a film, also is the founding director of the Palm Beach Jousting Club, which was formed in 2001.
Acting students will learn basic stage and film swordplay principles with various types of swords, props and combat movement. As they advance, they also will engage in mock sword battles as they would appear in films.
